About Milwaukee

Milwaukee is known for its clean and friendly community and its rich ethnic heritage. Milwaukee is located in the southeastern corner of the state of Wisconsin, and is about 90 miles north of Chicago, Ill. MSOE is in a vibrant downtown neighborhood called East Town. There are countless activities within walking distance from campus including shopping, theaters, restaurants, professional sporting venues and more. Lake Michigan is only a few blocks away. Milwaukee has four distinct seasons. Lake Michigan influences the climate considerably, cooling the city in the warm months and moderating cold temperatures in the winter. The average high temperature in July is 81° F. January is the coldest month, with an average high temperature of 28° F. We average about 37 inches of snow throughout the winter months, and plenty of sunshine and warmth during the summer!
