Our Students
MSOE students are among the best and brightest. They come from across the country and around the world. They come from different walks of life; some are from rural areas, others from the suburbs or various cities. They are men and women.

They want to be engineers, business leaders and nurses. And they all share one trait: they aspire to be the best in their field.

The typical student at MSOE has:
  • A 3.44 high school cumulative GPA
  • A composite score of 25 on the ACT or combined score of 1222 on the SAT
  • A willingness to work hard to achieve his/her goals

Of the 2,500 undergraduate students ...

  • 47% of the full-time students live on campus
  • 75% of freshman and 50% of sophomores live on campus

  • During the festivities of Welcome Week, they ate 2,360 pancakes with 21 gallons of syrup along with 2,720 strips of bacon and 940 sausage links. They washed it all down with 920 gallons of Coke products.
