Position Title: BioMolecular Engineering Faculty

The Milwaukee School of Engineering launched a new undergraduate program in BioMolecular Engineering in the fall of 2009.  Committed to building a strong team, we have added several new faculty members to the program, and are currently inviting applications for one more position, starting as early as fall of 2013. 

This individual is expected to primarily contribute to the development of the program. A Ph.D. in biomolecular, chemical, or biochemical engineering, or closely related field along with bachelors in a closely related engineering field, as well as an aptitude for developing biomolecular engineering senior year design projects and teaching undergraduate level courses in the diverse areas of biomolecular engineering is required. Additionally, the candidate should have a commitment and ability to teach at the undergraduate level in one or more of the following disciplines: biology, physics and/or chemistry.  Experimental lab and design skills at the molecular and/or nano-scales are also required.  Industrial, postdoctoral experience or teaching experience in one of the above areas is desirable. Initial appointments are expected to be at the Assistant Professor level, but applications from senior candidates may be considered for a higher rank.

MSOE is a private, application-orientated university with programs in engineering, engineering technology, technical communication, business, construction management and nursing.  Primarily a 4-year undergraduate institution, we emphasize excellence in teaching.  Applied research involving undergraduate students, and consulting, are encouraged.
