MSOE is looking for a full-time Area Manager to work in our world class Fluid Power InstituteTM, one of the leading academic fluid power research laboratories in the nation. This position involves project management for all work and testing projects in the designated area. This person is also responsible for the design, updating and maintain laboratory hydraulic power units, other equipment and various test fixtures in the designated area including all documentation related to these items. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and must possess a two year technical degree in engineering technology or controls or PLC’s or equivalent work experience with the willingness to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or engineering technology. Additionally the candidate should have a broad knowledge of industrial controls, instrumentation and data acquisition systems; knowledge of industrial three-phase electricity; knowledge of electrical switch-gear, electrical-electronics and PLC programming; must be proficient in preparing technical documents and familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
