The Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) invites applicants for a full-time chemistry faculty position in the Department of Physics and Chemistry, starting fall of 2013. Candidates must be committed to teaching all aspects of undergraduate chemistry and biochemistry. The successful candidate is also expected to be instrumental in the development of new courses and collaborate on curriculum and program development with all faculty of the department. A PhD in biochemistry or a related field and effective communication skills are required. Undergraduate teaching experience, postdoctoral experience and additional interest in a related area are desirable. Initial appointment is expected to be at the Assistant Professor level, but applications from senior candidates may be considered for higher rank.
MSOE is a private, application-orientated university with programs in engineering, engineering technology, technical communication, business, construction management and nursing. Primarily a 4-year undergraduate institution, MSOE emphasizes excellence in teaching. Consulting and applied research involving undergraduate students are encouraged.
