Position Title: Senior Laboratory Technician

MSOE has an immediate opening for a Senior Laboratory Technician to join our Fluid Power Institute (FPI). The FPI conducts applied research in a state-of-the-art laboratory in the areas of motion control, fluid power education and technology transfer activities. It has also expanded into electrohydraulic interface studies and currently has active programs in fluid power systems design, applications of fluid power to manufacturing, component evaluation and filtration and contamination testing.
The major responsibilities of this position include the setup, teardown, data collection and technical report preparation of various applied research projects in the following areas but not limited to: fluid power, mechanical and electrical/mechanical. This person must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, vendors and external customers from industry representing companies that are funding the research projects.
This is a part-time, 30-hour per week position.
A minimum of a two-year technical degree in fluid power or equivalent work experience is required and FPS certification desired. If you are interested in this challenging position, please submit a resume with salary requirements to:
