Position Title: Director of Continuing Studies & Outreach

The position of Director, Continuing Studies and Outreach, is responsible for leading all personnel and efforts related to marketing and recruitment of students for all MSOE graduate programs, engaging MSOE faculty and staff in the development and delivery of continuing education/professional development programs as well as custom education/consulting programs to serve the needs of external MSOE partners, and conducting outreach to pro-actively identify and pursue opportunities for MSOE to engage with external agents to achieve objectives that benefit the institution and its partners.
Responsibilities, skills and physical requirements include:
- Develop, implement, and monitor area budget and revenue plans.
- Represent MSOE, and graduate programs in particular, to external parties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Previous management or supervisory experience working with knowledge workers or higher
- education professionals.
- Ability to handle multiple, shifting priorities to optimize MSOE resources to meet needs of
- stakeholders.
- Technology literacy and computer skills use a variety of different software tools and systems to
- complete tasks and objectives.
- Local travel to company and partner locations required per graduate recruitment plan.
Education:
Master’s required; Ph.D. or terminal degree preferred in Engineering, Business, or related field.
Professional Experience:
Candidates are expected to have 5 or more years of business or industry experience as a middle or upper level manager. Experience in postsecondary education is a plus.
