MSOE's 29-kilowatt photovoltaic array is composed of 144 Kyocera KD205GX-LP 205 watt PV modules. It translates this DC energy to grid quality AC power through the use of six 5000-watt SMA Sunnyboy inverters. Each inverter is connected to one of the three phases of the grid. This allows for a balanced 3-phase grid connection.
