Academic Departments

Academic departments house a group of faculty that teach courses from a related area of study.

For instance, when you look under the Mechanical Engineering Department, you’ll find that those courses have much to do with energy production and consumption and the process of improving energy use. The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department offers many of the degrees that deal with creating the exciting new products today, such as MP3 players and cell phones.

The Rader School of Business offers programs that can set you up for a bright future in the corporate world. If you look in the Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management Department, you’ll find the jobs that design and construct efficient and safe buildings.

General Studies offers many of the core courses that make your education well rounded, as well as degrees in Technical Communication and a Minor in German Studies.

Take a closer look at our academic departments and uncover a world of expert faculty dedicated to student learning in a wide variety of fields.
