Maintenance, service and repair of medical devices in hospitals

Necessary education or experience for your current position:
Engineering degree

 

On MSOE and Biomedical Engineering 
 
Do you think a degree in BE is a good choice?
Yes.

 

Do you think MSOE is a good choice of college?
Yes.

 

Why did you choose MSOE?
The emphasis was on team work and learning from each other.

 

What did you like about the BE program?
It was a small school with friendly staff and students.

 

What did you like about MSOE's BE program?
The BE design project because it was a great accomplishment when it was finally completed after 3 years of dedication.

 

Now that you are in graduate school, are you happy with the education that you received in the BE program at MSOE?
Yes, but I wish I paid more attention to the electrical circuits and electronics classes.

 

Key skills that are necessary to be successful in your position:
Dedication, commitment, patience, and good knowledge of medical electronics.

 

A descriptoin of your path to your current position:
I got accepted in a competitive training program committed to training engineers of various fields for a period of 13 months that included 6 months of training in Germany and local training in my current position.

 

Good and bad aspects of your current position:
It can be quite stressful but it feels good to know that someone's health may be improving from my work.
