This five-year program is optional and currently only available for electrical engineering students. Co-op positions are not guaranteed. Positions are awarded at the discretion of the employer after a competitive interviewing process, and participants are compensated for their time. Compensation is set and provided by the employer.

- Must be a full-time electrical engineering major
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50
- Must have completed the sophomore year and receive prior approval from the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science co-op administrator prior to applying for a co-op experience
- Any student who wishes to pursue placement in a co-op position must have an application form on file in the Career Services Department and a resume completed on Career Net
