This universal remote control uses a touchscreen with a friendly user interface. It includes support for many popular brands of televisions, VCRs and stereo equipment. The device can also learn the codes for an appliance not otherwise supported.











HONORABLE MENTION: ROCKWELL AUTOMATION ASSEMBLY LINE CONTROL SYSTEM DESIGN -- Rosa Donat, Tim Lensmire, Jennifer Marifke, Ross Walek
A model automatic assembly line used for training and demonstrations was redesigned and upgraded to state-of-the-art levels. Included were PLC programming, motion control, servomotor sizing, cabling, panel layout and noise interference prevention.










HONORABLE MENTION: INTELLIGENT TEMPERATURE DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM -- Judy Chula, Mike Fialkowski, Brian Marx, Jake West
Designed for Johnson Controls as an enhancement to a 900 MHz wireless multipoint temperature sensing network, it accepts data from 50 sensors. It alerts personnel at a remote location via telephone link or Internet. The system is based on an embedded Windows NT computer.
