B.S. in Business Management

The Field
Today's dynamic business environment is driven by a fast-paced, global economy--and today's businesses need critical thinkers, ethical practitioners and creative problem solvers. The Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree from MSOE prepares you to be an innovative leader, a team player and a technologically savvy professional.

The Program
The new business management degree capitalizes on MSOE's long history of combining theory and practice, along with 50 years of experience providing a technology-rich business education. You will learn core business concepts and put them into practice by solving today's business problems in "real-world" project experiences. Specialized areas of study include marketing and entrepreneurship, managerial leadership, operations management, financial management and engineering studies. Students entering the program from high school are accepted into the business management program as freshmen.

The degree is available to traditional full-time undergraduate students, and flexible study plans are available for working professionals. If you have an associate degree, the transfer plan grants junior standing to qualified individuals. Courses in the program can be completed on a part-time or full-time basis.

MSOE Advantage
MSOE students are taught by professors who have academic credentials and have "been there" in the business world. Extensive industry experience and on-going consulting experience keeps them up-to-date in their field ... and they bring those experiences into the classroom to you.

And you will never be taught by a teaching assistant. We deliver small classes taught by faculty with business experience.

The same applications-oriented approach you find in the engineering fields, you'll also find in the business classroom and high-tech labs.

Graduates of the business management program enjoy an average annual starting salary of $51,224 (2011-2012).
