MSOE
requires that students complete at least 50% of the credits in a degree program
at MSOE, therefore, a maximum of 50% of the credits required for a degree may
be transferred to MSOE. Because the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) is
a 2+2 degree completion program,
students awarded junior status upon admission are considered to have the maximum
number of transferable credit.
Therefore, BSM students are required to complete all of the
credits outlined in the junior and senior portion of the BSM program. In cases
where a student may have completed courses at another college or university
that are also required in the BSM program (e.g.,
MS-361 Marketing), an evaluation
will be done of those courses. If a course is determined to be an equivalent, advanced standing will be granted. Students will
be allowed to substitute elective credits for any advanced standing awards. For
instance, if advanced standing for
MS-361 Marketing is granted, then
the student may choose an elective course to satisfy the three credits assigned
to MS-361.
MSOE has arranged transfer agreements with
several Wisconsin state technical colleges
that give students full credit for their associate degree so students can
complete a bachelor's degree in two years,
attending on a full-time basis.
