Today the group went to the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.  They estimate 800,000 will visit on a busy day.  We were told today wasn't as busy as yesterday, but there were certainly a lot of people there.  We split into 2 groups with the goal of covering as much ground as possible, and I think we accomplished our goal.  The Expo site is split by the Huangpu River.  There were 2 zones on the east side of the river, or Pudong side.  And there were 3 zones west of the river, or Puxi side.  Each zone had pavilions sponsored by individual nations, groups of nations, or corporations and industries.  The site was enormous in size and the each individual building was very unique in its architecture and design.  I have attached a few photos showing the China pavilion and our group  exploring the amazing sights.  We went to the Bao Steel pavilion and cultural area where we were greeted by song and dance.  Some of us were even asked to participate! On of the photos was of us waiting in the subway for Kelly who got stuck on one of the cars because there were too many people.  She had to go down a stop, switch trains and come back to our stop!  It was wild.

Well, today was super impressive and very hard to beat, so lets see what tomorrow has to offer!
