Past Internship Projects

Internships are considered an important means for students to apply what they have learned in the Rader School of Business. All undergraduate programs require students to participate in an internship. Graduate students are eligible.

Web Developer - Metavante

Certified Safety Consultant - TruSense Fire Safety
T he internship started out by learning everything our company had to offer and memorizing education areas of home fire safety. We then learned what it meant to be a good sales person. Once we felt ready and knowledgeable of home fire safety and DeTechs products, we took a test to be a certified DeTech sales dealer. My responsibilities were to put out box leads, generate them, and then call our leads to set up in-home education programs. If they felt what they learned from the education part was important, they then scheduled for a second in-home visit for sales products. We also had to work fairs to generate leads and educate communities.

Information Services Internship - Harley-Davidson Motor Co.
The intern provided procedural and technical support pertaining to workstations, peripheral devices, and internal websites, executed tasks to ensure users are  updated and are provided with all the necessary technical needs that have been requested. Next,  the interns need to track and maintain technical equipment, and provide advice to fellow employees/co-workers to ensure a more secure and productive technical environment.

Business Analyst - Assurant Health
Responsibilities were to support IT project governance tools, data mining using SQL and other reporting functions, and quality assurance testing.

Water/Wastewater Intern - Rockwell Automation
Responsible for creating District Lead Notifications (DLNs) that highlighted the sales process for sales engineers. Next, I went through different projects and searched for products that Rockwell Automation could supply to that customer. The third component was to create a report of those products and send the report to the sales engineer in that area of the U.S. so that they were able to go to that company and try to sell the relevant products.
