Requirements for B.S. in Nursing Degree and
Accelerated Second Degree B.S. in Nursing
For the B.S. in Nursing program, your academic background should include graduation from high school with:

| Plane Geometry | 1 unit |
| Chemistry | 1 unit |
| Biology | 1 unit |
| Advanced Science | 1 unit |
| English | 4 units |
Admission to the School of Nursing is guaranteed to any applicant who has been granted admission to Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Clinical Admission Requirements
Admission to the School of Nursing's clinical courses is guaranteed to any applicant who has been granted admission to MSOE and has:- Submitted the required health forms, met the Clinical Criteria, and can present proof of adequate health insurance coverage
- (The School of Nursing reserves the right to deny a student's admission to a clinical course, or to limit or terminate his or her participation in a clinical course if the student's health status poses a significant risk to the health or safety of patients.)
- Completed a CPR course approved by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, which includes one- and two-person rescue, infant and child rescue and choking
- Not been convicted of any crime which would substantially relate to the practice of nursing
- Those who do not meet the above criteria will be considered for admission on an individual basis.
Requirements for Accelerated Second Degree B.S. in Nursing
Students must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited institution, which included:
General Education courses
- Computer Class (3 credits)
- Communications (9 credits)
- Math (3 credits)
- Science (15 credits)
- Humanities (9 credits)
- Social Sciences (18 credits)
Ethics (3 credits) - Free elective (3 credits)
Specific Core Courses
- Medical Terminology (2 credits)
- Anatomy and Physiology (11 credits)
- Statistics (3 credits)
- Growth and Development (3 credits)
- Microbiology (4 credits)
- Nutrition (2 credits)
Students who have not completed this courses may still enroll in the program, but must complete these courses at MSOE as a pre-requisite to the Accelerated Second Degree B.S. in Nursing program.
