Cost
While at first glance college tuition may seem high, it’s important for you to understand that most students don’t pay the entire cost out of pocket. Financial assistance exists in many forms, including scholarships, grants, student loans and work-study programs. In fact, nearly 99 percent of full-time MSOE students receive some sort of financial assistance.
Payment Options
Payment plans are based on your financial situation and chosen on a term basis. Initial registrations require a $100 nonrefundable tuition deposit.
- Payment in full — students are billed at the start of the term for the full amount, due on the date listed on the bill.
- Financial aid — money is automatically applied to tuition and remaining amounts are billed to students, either due in full by the date listed or monthly using the H.E.L.P. payment plan.
- H.E.L.P. payment plan — MSOE’s in-house payment plan can have you on a monthly payment plan in five easy steps.
- Tuition reimbursement — students using employer reimbursement may defer tuition payments until 30 days after a term’s grades are posted pending reimbursement from employers. Students must provide documentation proving reimbursement eligibility.
- Direct bill to employers — students working for employers who pay tuition at the beginning of the term may authorize MSOE to bill their employer directly.
Federal and State Financial Aid
Both part-time and full-time undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for some sort of federal financial assistance. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six undergraduate or three graduate credits per term in a degree-seeking program to be eligible to apply for federal and state aid.
To apply for financial aid, you must be accepted for admission to MSOE and complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid, available through the Student Financial Services Office at (800) 778-7223 or finaid@msoe.edu.
