Learn the five “must have” components of project management. This one day course is an effective and efficient way for companies to have all key players “speak the same language.”
The Project Management Short Course content is based on the gold standard of project management, PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge, produced by PMI, the Project Management Institute), and will cover key topics surrounding project management. PMBOK has many tools available for project management. This course focuses on the key elements of PMBOK for any size project. This course is a fast-paced exposure to the “must have components” and includes many activities. Participants should come to class with a project idea to use in the exercises.

Who Should Attend
This class is primarily intended for individuals who will be involved in PM activities and have not had formal PM training during their academic studies or on the job training.
This course is also beneficial to individuals who have been involved in PM activities and would like refresh their education concerning PM
Upon completion, you will be able to:
- Define project management
- Understand project initiation documents
- Define and align scope of work
- Develop a Work Breakdown Structure
- Understand schedule planning to include critical path and dependencies
- Identify and assess risk
- Develop a risk plan
- Understand the use of lessons learned (after action reviews) for continuous improvement.
