We like to go “treasure hunting” with our children to find vintage/antique items to incorporate into our home. We also dabble in woodworking, making new furniture or refinishing antiques. We LOVE to do home improvement; so much that we are starting to wonder if we have a condition.
Share a memory or two from your days at MSOE:
RA (Resident Assistant) – the stories and crazy things I witnessed in those 3 years still live in infamy. Plus the friendships that came from being an RA and being a close knit group with fellow AE students; most of the people I was close with in college still remain.
Why you are choosing to be involved as an area chair?
While an MSOE student I helped initiate the MCAA Student chapter; to this day I’m amazed at what the current students have managed to accomplish from this start-up. It’s seeing the successes of the current students that makes me want to reconnect with the prior students/graduates to see what they have accomplished.

Senior Design! Our team’s senior advisor was Professor Swedish. Really enjoyed the challenges from him! Love the personal friendships made while at MSOE.
Why you are choosing to be involved as an area chair?
I enjoy working with people and doing networking events. It’s always nice to meet with people who have similar, yet oh-so-different, outcomes from our education at MSOE. Networking with fellow MSOE grads led to me hire one of my very first employees, who also happens to be an MSOE grad!
