“I commuted each day from the north suburbs while attending MSOE. I remember battling many blizzards and walking 10 blocks from the parking lot. I worked in the Registrar’s Office for a period and was able to get the perfect schedules and classes I wanted. I also enjoyed the food-tasting events each year put on by the international students who shared favorite dishes from home.
“I have the advantage of living in Milwaukee and being able to attend all the different events that MSOE has to offer. I feel being from a small university keeps me closely connected. I wanted to get involved with the Alumni Board in order to allow fellow alumni in other parts of the country to have that connection too. MSOE alumni are in positions all over the world and in every industry. This creates a powerful network for both professional and personal support.”
Michal has been married for more than 20 years to Todd. He recently started his own business and she has enjoyed learning what it takes to run a business.
“We have two cats, Oscar and Felix, who love to get into trouble together. I enjoy playing softball in the summer on an all-women’s league. During the rest of my spare time, I enjoy finding and trying new recipes. I have even started to enter cooking contests. So when you meet me, share your favorite recipe.”
Responsibilities:
- Relationship managers between University and Chapter
- Provide a voice for all of the areas in the Chapter at a national level
- Assist in building strategic plan for the Chapter
- Provide a connection back to MSOE
- Be present at area events as much as possible
