Personal Information you might wish to share:
I completed my degree at MSOE, then went on to get a PhD and work in academia for 7 years (four of which I spent at MSOE!). I then took a great opportunity to move into industry and am now with one of the best pediatric hospitals in the world. It’s been an exciting ride. I am also married to Brian Jacques and we have one son (Christian).
Share a memory or two from your days at MSOE:
I remember my freshman year I lived in the RWJ dorm on the 6th floor in the room right across from the elevator. Every time the elevator would open, my roommate and I would wave to whoever was on the elevator. It was a great way to meet people as a new student.
Why you are choosing to be involved as an area chair?
It’s a great opportunity to continue to network with alums both recent and established. Although we are so far from Milwaukee, it’s nice to know there is a kind of support structure for those of us who chose to follow our careers outside of the Midwest.
