I am married (to an electrical engineer, also an MSOE alumnus) and we have two little boys.
Share a memory or two from your days at MSOE:
One of the things I loved most about attending MSOE was the opportunity to get to know the faculty not only as instructors but as mentors. Thanks to Dr. Stahl (CAECM Department) I did a research internship at a federal laboratory that led me to graduate school and a materials specialty. Thanks to Professor Friauf (MSOE, Technical Communication), I figured out a way to continue my love of writing and public speaking by working on a minor in Technical Communication. This experience gave me an edge in the job market. I still get Christmas cards and emails from the office staff and a retired department chair that I worked for as work-study student. I can confidently say that I am in a tiny minority of people at my workplace who maintain personal and professional connections with my former professors.
