Thomas and his wife Karen have four children: Chloe, Owen, Brody and Emmett. They spend lots of time enjoying many outdoor activities, including swimming, water skiing, any sports, camping, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. The kids enjoy the responsibility of raising chickens and turkeys. Their dog Bentley rounds out the family.
“I was very lucky to go through my MSOE education with a great friend, Bruce Moore. I remember and smile when I think about our very typical routine of sitting down at a computer after school and working on our lab reports until all the work was done, typically around midnight. Only then could we enjoy the reward of a drink, or two.
“I’ve been a member of the Alumni Association Board for about five years. Being a chapter director is just one way to stay connected with and give back to MSOE and all the current and future alumni. I would not be where I am today if it was not for my MSOE education. I’m very proud to say I’m an MSOE alum, and participation as a chapter director allows me to say it often!”
Responsibilities:
- Relationship managers between University and Chapter
- Provide a voice for all of the areas in the Chapter at a national level
- Assist in building strategic plan for the Chapter
- Provide a connection back to MSOE
- Be present at area events as much as possible
