I love music (punk, indie rock and classical mostly), literature and modern art. I bake when I need to relax and am considered by some to be a yogi (though I personally draw the line at bell ringing and hemp footwear).
Share a memory or two from your days at MSOE:
My most vivid memories of MSOE are of endless hours in the IE lab working on finishing projects for week 10! I still know exactly when it’s week 10 without looking at the calendar but (thankfully) the cold sweats stopped a few years ago.
Why are you choosing to be involved as an area chair?
My time at MSOE has been the single most defining experience of my life. I want bright young people to have the same opportunities I had while learning their craft—of staff who are always there for you and professors going beyond the extra mile to ensure that material is understood and the student feels prepared to tackle the world’s problems. I am extremely passionate about keeping MSOE strong and I believe that we can do that with strong alumni and industry ties.
