I have a wife of 9 years, Anne, a 4-year-old daughter Caroline, and 1-year-old son Dennis. I grew up in northeastern Wisconsin, attended MSOE from 1995-99 receiving an AAS and BS in electrical engineering technology. I returned to the Green Bay area after graduation working for Paper Converting Machine Co. for 6 years, then moved to the Fox Valley for CMD Corp. where I worked for 6 years, and then moved to De Pere, WI to work at Parsons-Eagle Packaging Systems. I have been working for OEMs in the paper, plastics, and packaging industries for 13 years now. We enjoy camping, packer games, old cars and going to MSOE vs. St. Norbert hockey games (my wife is a St. Norbert Alumni).
Share a memory or two from your days at MSOE:
When I first arrived at MSOE I was placed in MLH room 313. My first roommate was a senior by the name of Eric Anderson ’97 EET. It was intimidating at first being a freshman with a senior roommate but it turned out to be one of the best parts of my time at MSOE. Eric was the same major that I was and he really took me under his wing and helped me with many things, from as little as homework and choosing the right classes to as big as an internship for me at the company where he was hired after graduation. The memories of MLH 3rd floor build from there, we were almost like a fraternity, a large group of us did many things together and in 1999 there were 10 seniors graduating from MLH 3rd floor. I don’t think that it happens very often that such a large group of guys stick together on the same dorm floor for all four years. I built many great friendships that I still have today.
Why are you choosing to be involved as an area chair?
I want to spread the word about how great a school MSOE is. I love connecting with other alums and finding out how many of us there really are in my area. I want to create more events to connect us socially and professionally.
