After graduating from MSOE, I moved to Madison Wis., and married my high school sweetheart. We have lived here for five years now and are expecting our first child, a baby girl, in June.

I love to travel, attempt home improvement projects, and am very involved in the search engine marketing scene. Besides my day job, I also co-own a Web development and search engine marketing firm, Silicon Prairie Media, here in Madison.

Share a memory or two from your days at MSOE:
I served as president of the Student Union Board (SUB) and had the fortune of working in the Financial Aid office through the work-study program for most of my time on campus. These opportunities opened many doors and established friendships I still hold dear today. Growing up in a small town, it was nice to move to a large city and still feel that sense of community. The staff, professors, and fellow students fuel a culture of belonging and personal development. MSOE continues to offer an unsurpassable passion for higher learning.

Why are you choosing to be involved as an area chair?
As area chair for the Madison Alumni Chapter, I plan to apply my unique skill set and Internet-savvy approach towards building a strong network for Madison alumni and help connect future MSOE graduates with jobs here in our great city. I am in contact with many MSOE alumni living in the Madison area, some of which are still my closest friends. Madison has established itself as a national hub for technology companies. These job opportunities are perfectly suited for upcoming MSOE graduates or existing alumni looking to expand their careers. I am excited to establish both an online and offline community for Madison alumni to communicate on a professional and social level.
