Jordan leads MSOE baseball to Game 1 victory over Dominican

Freshman Derek Jordan went 4-6 with a home run, two doubles, two RBI and three runs in the first game of a doubleheader Sunday against Dominican in Schaumburg, Ill. at Alexian Field. The Raiders knocked off the Stars 11-6 as sophomore Benjamin Falls allowed just one earned run in six innings of work to pick up the win. MSOE fell to Dominican 5-3 in the second game.
Senior Jordan Opalewski was 3-5 with two runs scored in the first game. Also, sophomore Wes Stasik, senior Emery Hull, junior Mike Ricciardi, sophomore Walter Ziller and freshman Maxwell Poeske each had two hits while Stasik, Hull and Ricciardi all had two RBI a piece.
In the second game, Ricciardi was 2-3 with a triple and freshman Alex Luna went 2-4. The Raiders face Beloit for a doubleheader Wednesday on the road starting at 4 p.m.
