Marian edges MSOE Men's Basketball 55-51

Junior forward Jaren Singh and freshman forward Austin Stueck both scored in double figures but the Raiders fell to Marian 55-51 Wednesday night at Kern Center in Milwaukee. Singh logged 11 points while Stueck had ten. For MSOE, it was their first Northern Athletics Conference loss of the season.
With 2:37 left in the contest, sophomore forward Bob Solvensky knocked down a deep two-pointer to give the Raiders a 49-48 lead. It would be the final time that MSOE held the advantage. The Raiders could only muster two free-throws from junior guard John Cording during the rest of the game. Five of the Sabres' final seven points came at the charity stripe.
MSOE trailed at halftime 25-22 as neither shot above 40% in the first half or for the game. Cody Veleke led Marian with 14 points. Drew Binversie went 8-8 from the free-throw line and had 12 on the night.
The Raiders (4-3, 2-1 NAC) host Edgewood Saturday at 4:15 p.m. at the Kern Center.
