MSOE Wrestling moves up the ranks; #7 in Wisconsin

Platteville, Wis.--The MSOE Raiders wrestling team made some waves this past month as they moved up the NCAA Division III Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches poll, jumping from tenth to seventh place. During that stretch, MSOE was 2-1 in dual matches, while placing a respectable fourth place at the MSOE invitational.
Three Raiders were ranked in the top four of their respective weight class. At 125#, Freshman Sam Deligio (Ingelside, Ill. / Grant Community HS) moved into the fourth place slot, while freshman Virgil Pope (Clinton, Wis. / Clinton HS) obtained the same rank at 141#. Rounding out Raider wrestlers receiving recognition, include Joel VandeBoom (Port Washington, Wis. / Port Washington) who is ranked fourth among the 149-pound grapplers.
The Raider's next dual match will be on Satuirday, December 15, in Appleton, Wis. against Lawrence University.
