MSOE’s Chappell Conference Student-Athlete of the Week
Senior indoor track runner Catherine Chappell was recognized by the Northern Athletics Conference as this week's Student-Athlete of the week. Chappell, a Two-time All American (women's basketball and outdoor track) scored 38 of MSOE's 42 points, leading the team to an eighth place finish at the UW-Whitewater Invitational.

Her distance of 13.08 meters in the shot put made her a NCAA provisional qualifier in addition to winning the event. She also placed first in the long jump with a distance of 5.16 meters, and first in the 55 meter hurdles (8.84 seconds), both school records. In the high jump Chappell placed second with a mark of 1.57 meters.

MSOE track continues their indoor season competing at Carthage College Saturday, February 2 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
