MSOE Men's Track Wins NAC Outdoor Championship

MSOE Men's Track Wins NAC Outdoor Championship

The MSOE men's track and field team won the Northern Athletics Conference Outdoor Championship on Saturday in Lisle, Ill.  The Raiders finished with a total of 205 points in first place.

Brian Seniuk won the 200 meter dash and the 400 meter dash.  Dominic Maio finished first in the 1500 meter run and was second in the 800 meter run.  Kyle Rate won the triple jump event.  The Raiders relay team won the 4X400 meter relay race and was second in the 4X100 meter relay event.

Caleb Hahn finished third in the 100 meter dash while Casey Cummings was sixth in that race and Josh Uelman was seventh and Ryan Baird finished tenth.  Cummings was fifth in the 200 meter dash while Hahn finished seventh and Uelman was eighth.  Ben Bichler finished third in the 400 meter dash while Rob Young was tenth.  Bichler was fourth in the 800 meter run.

Cameron Rate was fifth in the 1500 meter run while Sean Brooks finished tenth in the same race.  Tim Carlson finished third in the 5000 meter run and Zak Lutz was sixth in that race.  Carlson was fifth in the 10,000 meter run.  Lutz finished second and Matt Jungers was eighth in the 3000 meter steeplechase.

Eric Hein finished fourth in the 110 meter hurdles.  Alex Raver was fifth in the 400 meter hurdles and in the high jump.  Aaron Choate finished third in the long jump while Kyle Rate was fifth.  Matt Ollayos placed fourth and Rick Allen was sixth in the shot put.  Ollayos was second, John Flotterud third and Brett Verhyen was fifth in the discus event.  Verhyen was sixth in the hammer throw.  Kyle Heyrman finished fourth in the javelin.  Ryan Baird placed second in the pole vault and Mat Johnson was fourth.

Raiders head coach Larry Gardner was named Coach of the Meet.  The men's track team also won the NAC Indoor Championship earlier this season.
