In front of a senior night crowd, the MSOE Raiders defeat the Lakeland Muskies 2-1 in an important Northern Athletics Conference contest.
Despite playing without starting midfielder/forward Jimmy Burns who is out for the season due to injury, the Raiders were able to hold off Lakeland who was just one-half game behind MSOE in the standings.
Two juniors got into the action for the Raider's first goal as Aaron Crass found forward Brandon Crozier for the first goal of the night, his second of the season. Senior John Varebrook scored the game winning goal from 18-yards out, his fifth goal of the year.
Senior Andy Blau and Junior Alex Mejac combined for 90 minutes in goal for the Raiders, collecting the win. MSOE, currently third in the conference standings, face Rockford on the road Saturday, October 25 to conclude their NAC regular season.
