Womens Soccer clinches playoff berth

Watertown, Wis.-It was freshman Jamie Janczak who scored twice to lead MSOE to a 2-1 victory over Maranatha Baptist and clinched the last spot into the Northern Athletic Conference playoffs. Both teams were in sixth place with a 6-5 conference record going into tonight's winner-take-all game.
Maranatha Baptist got on the scoreboard first, off a goal scored by Melissa Nichols in the 22nd minute of play. MSOE scored 32:19 into the game, off a Jamie Janczak goal, with the assist coming from Erin Vandenlangenberg. In the second period, Janczak scored her second goal off another Vandenlangenberg pass. The game winning goal came with 26:28 remaining in the game.
