Men's Soccer lose first round NAC contest

Milwaukee, Wis.- The first half was a series of missed opportunities for the MSOE Raiders as they came up empty on five shots in the first 45 minutes. In the second half, Edgewood took advantage of the wind at their back and a few breaks, scoring two goals, earning a 2-0 victory advancing to the semifinal of the 2008 Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) Men's Soccer championships.
For Edgewood, Andriy Apetrey scored both goals as the Eagles advance to the NAC semifinals against the number one seed, Dominican University. MSOE was behind in total shots for the game by a 6-5 margin. Edgewood garnered nine corner kicks to MSOE's four in the quarterfinal contest. Both teams were penalized 12 times in the match.
Andy Blau went the distance in goal for the Raiders, giving up two goals and collecting two saves.
The Raiders finish the season with a 11-5-2 overall record.
