Women's tandem named first team ALL-NAC; Four players honored

Waukesha, Wis.-Freshman forward Jessica Axt (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) and sophomore Midfielder Mindy Donald (Fredonia, Wis./Ozaukee) were named to the Northern Athletics Conference First team for women's soccer, announced today. Axt, who was also an All Freshman team selection, tied for second in the conference for goals (15), goals per game (1.25).and was fifth in the conference in total points (30) and points per game (2.5). Axt also broke the school's single season goal record with 20 goals on the season. Donald was fifth in the conference with eight assists and sixth in the NAC averaging .67 assists per game. Donald's 14 assists for the season is the new MSOE single season assist record. Donald was an honorable mention and All Rookie team choice in 2007.
Sophomore midfielder Heidi Brehmer (Eagle River, Alaska/Chugiak) was named a second team selection while sophomore midfielder Allison Plank (Appleton, Wis./ Appleton West) was an honorable mention honoree. Brehmer, who was a first team and All Rookie team selection last year, had nine goals and five assists in 18 games for the Raiders, playing injured for part of the season. Plank played anchored the defense for the Raiders and was vital to the team's sixth place finish in conference play.
The all conference awards were voted on by coaches of the Northern Athletics Conference.
