MIT defeats Rose Hulman 69-43 in Engineers Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - MIT men's basketball defeated Rose-Hulman, 69-43, in the first game of the 2008 Engineers Classic hosted by the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
Senior Jimmy Bartolotta sparked MIT's (2-1) second-half surge and finished with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-16 shooting. Freshman point guard Blake Knotts led Rose-Hulman (1-1) with 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc.
MIT moves on to the championship game of the Engineers Classic against the winner of MSOE and RPI. The consolation game is set to tip-off at noon with the championship to follow at 2 p.m.
