Mini game victory advances Hockey into Harris Cup Tournament
Milwaukee, Wis.-For the MSOE hockey team to advance to next week's Harris Cup Tournament, they had to beat the University of Minnesota-Crookston (UMC) twice in the same day. The Raiders came out and took care of business defeating the Golden Eagles 2-1 in Game two of the series and 2-1 in the "mini game in overtime.

In the mini game, Kirk Graham scored with 6:09 remaining in the period, putting UMC in the lead. With just 13 seconds, remaining, senior Jason Woll pocketed a shot in the net, tying the game and sending it into sudden death overtime.

At 9:40 in overtime, Brock King scored off passes from Stephen Smiddy and Michael Soik to give MSOE the victory and send them to Detroit to the MCHA Harris Cup Four.

The Raiders will Face Lawrence University on Saturday, Feb. 28. A win will send them to the title match on Sunday, March 1 against the winner of the Adrian/Marian semifinal.
