Men's Basketball falls in conference playoffs

The Raiders were led by Austin Meier, picking up a double-double (15 points, 13 rebounds) on the night. Andy Voigt and Jeremy Off added 20 and 15 points, respectively. Aurora was led by Dusty Magee, scoring 25 points on eight of 16 shooting from the field.
In the second half, the Raiders were down by as many as 10 points with 6:38 left in the game. MSOE was able to cut the lead down to two points, thanks to a 10-2 run with 4:32 remaining. Voigt scored eight of his 20 points during that two minute stretch. The Spartans outscored the Raiders 10-5 stretching their lead to seven points with 52 seconds remaining. MSOE once again put on a late surge with Bennett Deacon hitting a three with 21 seconds left, bringing the score to within four points, 81-78.
The Aurora Spartans were perfect from the foul line the rest of the way (4-of-4) and advancing to the NAC semifinals with an 85-80 win over the Raiders. The Spartans shot 87% (20-of-23) from the charity stripe in comparison to MSOE's 45.5% (3-of-7). MSOE shot slightly better than Aurora from the field, 46.5% compared to 44.6%, and both teams were 9-of-25 from beyond the three point arc. The Raiders won the battle of the boards, out rebounding Aurora 37-to-30 for the game.
MSOE ends their season with an 18-8 overall record and reaching a career high for wins in a season.
