MSOE joins eight in forming first midwestern lacrosse conference

Milwaukee, Wis. -- Nine NCAA Division III schools have agreed to form the Midwest Lacrosse Conference, which will be the first NCAA men's lacrosse conference in the Midwest. The NCAA recognition goes into effect September 1, 2009 as the conference readies for their inaugural season to begin in the spring of 2010.
The Midwest Lacrosse Conference is comprised of teams from seven Midwestern states: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin. The nine member conference includes Adrian College (Michigan), Albion College (Michigan), Aurora University (Illinois), Carthage College (Wisconsin), Concordia University of Wisconsin, Fontbonne University (Missouri), Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE)(Wisconsin), Mount St. Josephs College (Ohio) and Trine University (Indiana). Seven members begin play in 2010, while Aurora University and Concordia-Wisconsin will join varsity competition in 2011. Dan Harris, Director of Athletics at MSOE, will be the first commissioner of the Conference.
