Men's Soccer readies for conference run
With one conference game remaining, the MSOE men's soccer team currently holds an 8-1-1 Northern Athletics Conference record, putting them in second place behind national power Dominican University. The Raiders have a 11-5-2 overall record, their best record since 1999 when the Raiders went 12-6-1 in Jimmy Bank's first season as head coach.

One key to the team's success has been getting the ball to sophomore forward Michael Vanek (Greenfield, Wis. / South Milwaukee), who is second in the conference in goals scored (7) and third in goals per game (.70) and points per game (1.60). Vanek and Senior co-captain Brandon Crozier (Hartland, Wis. / Arrowhead) are tied for fifth in the conference with two game winning goals apiece.

Defensively for the Raiders, Alex Mejac (Greenfield, Wis. / Whitnall) ranks fourth in goals against average (.90) and fourth in save percentage (.820).  Mejac is also one game away of breaking the school's single season record of 11 wins in a season by a goalie.

If the Raiders win on Thursday at Lakeland, MSOE will head into the playoffs as the number two seed and will host a semifinal game on Wednesday, November 4 at 7pm.
