MSOE hockey's Todd Krupa (Stevensville, Ont) and Connor Toomey (Burlington, MA) were chosen the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association's (MCHA) Player and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively.
Krupa, a sophomore forward, is the final MCHA Player of the Week for 2009. The business major scored two goals and had an assist against St. Thomas and finished +3 on the weekend.
Toomey, a sophomore goalie, is the MCHA Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the 2-2 OT tie this past weekend. The construction management major recorded 25 saves - including three in the overtime session.
The Raiders are 5-3-0 in MCHA play and carry a 5-4-1 overall record into the holiday break. MSOE hockey will return to action in 2010 at the Oswego Tournament, January 1-2, in Oswego, New York.
