Men's Volleyball takes Midwest-III Conference Championship

Kenosha, Wis. -- The 14th ranked MSOE Men's Volleyball team knocked off the 15th ranked Carthage Red Men in the Midwest-III Volleyball Conference Championship Saturday afternoon. The Raiders (17-14) won the match in three games (30-27, 36-34, 30-22).
Sophomore Max Martin led the way for MSOE with 19 kills. Senior Glenn Frazee hit .360 with 13 kills. Senior Jack Geary and junior Chris Reininger each had 8 kills. Senior Chris Brandt logged 45 assists and had 11 digs. Freshman John Cote led the Raiders with 18 digs. MSOE hit .342 in game two and .357 in game three.
On Friday, the Raiders beat Mount St. Joseph 3-0 (30-13, 30-12 and 30-15) to reach the championship match. Fontbonne knocked off Mount St. Joseph 3-0 (30-14, 30-18 and 30-26) in the consolation match of the tournament.
