Toomey, Keizer receive MCHA weekly honors

For third time this season, junior goaltender Connor Toomey has been named MCHA Defensive Player of the Week. Sophomore forward Jordan Keizer was selected as the MCHA Player of the Week for the second time this year. Toomey and Keizer led the No. 8 Raiders to a weekend sweep of Saint Mary's.
Toomey allowed just one goal in the two games against the Cardinals as he picked up his second shutout of the season Friday night in a 2-0 victory. He made a total of 46 saves in those two games for a .979 save percentage. Toomey helped shut down Saint Mary's power play as they went 0-11 over the weekend with an advantage.
Keizer netted his third hat trick of the season on Saturday in MSOE's 7-1 win over the Cardinals. In Friday's victory, he recorded both of his team's goals. Keizer now 13 goals on the season to lead all of Division III.
The Raiders (8-0, 6-0 MCHA) host St. Thomas Friday and Saturday at the Kern Center.
