No. 10 MSOE hockey completes season sweep of Concordia-Wisconsin

The No. 10 Raiders once again secured the Lake Michigan Cup Friday night then beat Concordia-Wisconsin Saturday night 3-1 in Mequon, Wis. Sophomore forward Jordan Keizer scored his 19th goal of the season in the third period and also assisted on sophomore forward Nick Gorup's goal in the second period. Freshman goaltender Spenser Brown made his first collegiate start and recorded 22 saves in the win.
MSOE started their scoring at the 9:04 mark of the first period when freshman forward Steven Shaffroth was set up by freshmen forwards Austin Grosvenor and Ben Lauder. The Falcons tied the game in the second period before Gorup scored to make it 2-1 from Keizer and sophomore forward Bradley Tierney. Keizer's goal was assisted by sophomore defenseman Nathan Brunk.
The Raiders (17-3-1, 14-1-1) will play a weekend series with Lake Forest Friday night in Lake Forest, Ill. and Saturday at 7:05 p.m. in Milwaukee at the Kern Center.
