Narveson wins at Al Hanke Invitational, MSOE wrestling places 4th

Junior Jake Narveson knocked off Alex Maynard of Harper in the finals of the 149-pound class at the Al Hanke Invitational in Elmhurst, Ill. As a team, the Raiders placed fourth out of 11 teams. In addition to Narveson's victory, MSOE had two second place finishers, five fourth place finishers, two fifth place finishers and one sixth place finisher.
Senior Virgil Pope was second at 141 pounds and senior Samuel Bramstedt placed second at the 165-pound weight class. Seniors Sammy and Dominic Deligio both were fourth at their weight classes, 125 and 133 respectively. Junior Adam Chaulklin placed fourth at 174 pounds and sophomore Caleb Staub was fourth at 184 pounds. Also, sophomore Josh Wengerter came in fourth at 149.
Freshmen Dallas Schurg and Kyle Perea both placed fifth. Schurg wrestled at the 141-pound weight class and Perea at 184 pounds. Freshman Drew Dorman came in sixth at 285.
The Raiders will take part in the Wabash Duals next Saturday in Indiana.
