MSOE men's volleyball falls to No. 3 Carthage in four

MSOE men's volleyball falls to No. 3 Carthage in four


Junior Max Martin led the Raiders with 16 kills and eight digs but MSOE was defeated by No. 3 Carthage in four games (25-17, 19-25, 25-23, 25-14) Wednesday night in Kenosha, Wis. The Midwest-III Volleyball Conference match was tied after two but Carthage took the final two games. The Raiders hit .481 in the second game in which they won 25-19.

Freshman setter Josh Avery recorded 41 assists and had two blocks. Sophomore David Johnson led MSOE with six blocks while senior Mitch Paulus logged four blocks. Paulus also had eight kills while Johnson had seven.

The Raiders (10-11, 6-2 M3VC) host Quincy Thursday night at the Kern Center. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
