Keizer named D3Hockey.com second team all-region

MILWAUKEE — Jordan Keizer has been named to the D3HOCKEY.COM 2013 Men’s All-West Region Second Team.

Keizer (Sr./Edmonton, Alberta, Canada/Business) led the nation in power play goals with nine in 2012-13 and earned 24 points in 24 games in Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association play on 12 goals and 10 assists. The MCHA already named Keizer to its all-conference team on Thurs., Feb. 28, marking the third-straight year Keizer has earned that honor.

Keizer recently finished his MSOE career with 74 goals and 53 assists in 113 games. In 2012, Keizer was instrumental in the Raiders’ MCHA Harris Cup victory and first-ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship tournament.

“He’s one of the greatest goal scorers in MSOE history,” head coach Mark Ostapina said. “Jordan was a gifted player with the ability to score goals in every game situation.  He was blessed with a quick release and dead on accuracy.”

Led by Keizer, MSOE finished the 2012-13 season 17-10-2 and reached the MCHA Harris Cup Final for the second-consecutive year.
