MSOE softball raises nearly $3,000 to Strikeout Cancer

MSOE softball's effort to help Strikeout Cancer was a great success as the team raised an amazing $2,862 for the American Cancer Society. MSOE joined together with the teams from Alverno and Wisconsin Lutheran to help this cause.

"I would like to thank the softball team for their efforts in raising almost $3,000 for the American Cancer Society," said MSOE softball coach Jessica Ott. "Without their efforts we would not be able to help Strikeout Cancer. Our team goal was $1,000 and the team really stepped up to the plate and hit a home run. I look forward to making this an annual event with Alverno and WLC. Also, I would like to thank all those who generously donated to Strikeout Cancer."

The American Cancer Society is the nationwide community-based voluntary health organization dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem by preventing cancer, saving lives, and diminishing suffering from cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service.
