MSOE men's volleyball drops home opener against Clarke


Three Raiders recorded ten kills or more Saturday night but MSOE fell to Clarke in four games at the Kern Center. The Raiders took the first game 28-26 then dropped the final three 25-22, 25-20 and 25-18 to fall to 0-3 on the year. Senior Chris Reininger and junior Max Martin each had 11 kills while sophomore Alex Harbour had ten.

Reininger had the best hitting percentage of any player on the floor at .471 while Harbour hit a very solid .381. Sophomore libero John Cote led MSOE with nine digs while Martin and freshman setter Matt Morrone each had six. Morrone and freshman Josh Avery split time at setter with Avery coming up with 18 assists and Morrone getting 16. Sophomore Jack Geary recorded eight blocks to pace the Raiders in that category. Martin came up with five blocks on the night.

The Raiders will host Missouri Baptist Friday night at the Kern Center at 7 p.m.
